Offering assessment of specific family and individual relationships and putting forward effective counselling programmes to alleviate relationship difficulties. Another common focus of psychotherapy is an individual’s interaction with other people. This style of therapy can help you identify what you seek in a relationship, the healthy and unhealthy ways of meeting those needs, and ways to improve your ability to communicate. Such therapy can help people cope with the loss of a relationship, conflicts within relationships, or the demands of shifting roles or making transitions (such as retirement or caring for a parent). Your distress may be from difficulties in your relationship with a spouse, parent, child, co-worker or significant other. Therapy can be valuable in helping you understand the root of the problem and providing you with the understanding and skills you need to improve the relationship

Adolescent and teen years are usually fraught, confusing and at times intolerable for both the young individual and the family members. The source of problem could be simple to more complicated issues. There are occasions when cultural mores and customs practices and expectations are the source of a great deal of misunderstanding and embedded animosity.

Our experienced therapist can help and guide individuals to overcome such difficulties in relationships through a variety of approaches including marriage counselling, relationship therapy  and cultural therapy, where appropriate.

At Samuel Maynard Centre we endeavour to maintain a high level of professionalism by honouring individuals and families, while staying abreast of current developments in psychology, psychotherapy and pharmacology, in their journey toward healing and wellness.
