Clinical Services - Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and counselling: Fees are charged on a sessional basis. Different consultants and therapist have different fees based on their speciality and experience. Fees for long term attendance are structured on a sliding scale.  It is also possible to book blocks of sessions in advance, which would attract substantial discounts. Please contact us for more information. Consultations with patients are generally for 50 minutes and initial assessments for 1.5 hours.

It is believed that “the payment of fees in psychotherapy plays a major role in the treatment process, and has clinical implications”. This is why we do not offer free therapy. We do, however, have a facility for students and lower incomes to receive substantial reduction on our normal fees. Please contact us for further details.

Non Attendance or Cancellation Fees: We understand occasional difficulties and endeavour to accommodate late arrivals and, where appropriate and able to reschedule appointments. We, however, have to insist on a cancellation fee for all appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the planned consultation or for non attendance of client.

Payment terms: We require that all sessional payments to be paid prior to the session or on the day in full, by cheque or cash. Block session payments are payable in advance. Invoices to third parties (insurance companies and/or other agencies) are payable within 28 days of the day of issue unless other agreements have been made. The instructor is liable for monthly interest for payment not received within the agreed time, at a rate pursuant to that in force at the time under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. This will also apply to any deferred payment arrangements.

Medico Legal Services

Fees are calculated on an hourly basis and charged strictly pro-rata. Consultations with patients are generally for 2 hours. In preparation for reports the period of reading and abstracting material from supplied documentation is greatly dependant on the volume of the documentation. This is generally around 3-5 hours, and after this, 3-4 hours is spent in preparing and redrafting the final report. An average report would, therefore, take around a minimum of 8 hours to prepare, Shorter or longer pieces of work are charged accordingly. Please contact us for each consultant’s hourly and daily rates.

Non Attendance or Cancellation Fees: A cancellation fee equivalent to the length of the assessment (2 hours) plus preparation time as well as any other expenses (travelling, etc) is charged for all appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the planned assessment or for non attendance of client.

Travelling Time: We charge an hourly rate of travel plus Second Class rail and, where necessary, local taxi fares for attending any consultation on location.

Attendance fee for Conference with Counsel: we would be happy to arrange for any discussions over the phone or through other media with the legal representatives and Counsel. Attending interviews for the same will incur fees on an hourly basis plus travelling time. Minimum fee 2 hours + travelling time.

Fees for Attending Court: Our consultants would attend court to testify as a professional expert witness. This will incur a fixed fee per day attendance. This is inclusive of preparation for giving evidence and travelling time within Greater London Area. Any part of day is calculated as whole. This fee is payable regardless of being called to give evidence and is subject to scale of cancellation charges above, plus  travel & accommodation expenses, where applicable. A cancellation fee of 100% will be charged if cancelled within 7 days of the Court date.

Fixed Fee Reports: Fixed fee reports are available for occasions where there is little documentation and no travelling involved. These reports are limited and best suited to short determinations, e.g. occupational health reports or IMEs for insurance, employers and pension schemes. Fees for such reports are lower than a typical medico legal report and arranged by advance agreement.

Medical investigations: are charged at current laboratory rates.

VAT is charge at current rate on all services except laboratory investigations and assessment for those individuals who do not have an immigration status in the UK/Europe.

Payment terms: We require that all invoices are paid within 30 days of the day of issue unless other agreements have been made not including the following:
